What we collect
Information you send us. If you contact us by email, including through the inquiry form on this site, we receive what you choose to include: typically your name, work email, brand name and website, where you are on Amazon, and what you would like help with.
Technical data processed by our hosting provider. The site is served by Vercel. Serving a web page involves technical request data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. Vercel processes this data to deliver the site and protect it against abuse, as described in Vercel's privacy policy. We do not use this data to identify you.
We do not collect payment details, account credentials or Amazon seller data through this website.
How the contact form works
When you submit the contact form, your message is emailed to our team and a record of your inquiry is kept in the system we use to manage new business. You receive a confirmation email at the address you give. The form includes a hidden field and a timing check used only to filter automated spam; they are not used to track you.
How we use information
We use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry, assess whether we are a fit for your brand, prepare a proposal or arrange a conversation, and keep a record of our correspondence. We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We send marketing email only to people who have opted in (see “Email communications” below).
Email communications
If you tick the box on the contact form agreeing to receive emails and communication from For The Record, you give us permission to send you marketing and informational email, such as Amazon growth insights, updates about our services, and occasional offers, in addition to replying to your inquiry. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw permission at any time by using that link or emailing hello@fortherecord.marketing. If you leave the box unticked, we will only contact you about your inquiry.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and what device and browser they use. It does not set cookies and does not track you across other websites. Vercel processes this data on our behalf as described in Vercel's privacy policy. We do not load advertising pixels or any other third-party tracking scripts. If that changes, we will update this notice before the change takes effect.
Who we share information with
We share information only where needed to run the website and respond to you: our hosting provider, our email providers, and the system we use to manage new business inquiries. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights. We do not share your information with Amazon or any other third party for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and evaluate a potential engagement, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. If an engagement begins, information is retained under the terms of that engagement. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time (see below).
How we protect it
Information you send us is stored in business systems protected by access controls and two-factor authentication, and is accessible only to the people who need it to respond to you. The website is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the information involved.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also object to a particular use. To do so, email hello@fortherecord.marketing from the address you used to contact us; we may ask you to confirm your identity. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. We respond to requests within the time the applicable law requires, and in any case within 30 days.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
International visitors
For The Record Marketing LLC is based in the United States and information is processed there. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States.
Changes to this notice
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle information will be noted here before they take effect.
Client engagements
This notice covers the website only. Information handled during a client engagement, including access to Amazon seller accounts and advertising data, is governed by the written agreement for that engagement and by Amazon's applicable policies.
